Ultra's 4 AA alkaline batteries guarantee an operating life that can exceed 10 years. However, replacing the batteries, although infrequent, requires removing the device from the wall or ceiling. This is not always possible or simple! To address this limitation, we designed a new plastic holder that allows Ultra to be attached quickly and reliably and simply removed with a slide mechanism.
